Bryant gas furnace leaking water.
Bryant plus 90 furnace leaking water.
I called the tech who installed it and he found that the secondary heat exchanger was leaking due to corrosion.
Bryant plus 90 furnace model 398aav060100 installed in 1992.
I waited 20 hours an.
The hose barb at the bottom of the condensing unit was corroded i believe.
Somehow there remains a reasonable amount of water leaking out onto the floor maybe 1 2 oz hour.
Technician came out dismantled the housing installed an orange colored silicone sealant from a tube told me to wait 12 hours before turning on the furnace.
Also the problem is not the condensate pump since it is on the other side of the furnace.
The leak stopped for one month but now there is water on the floor again.
Have a slow leak out of the draft inducer motor housing.
It is leaking water.
If you fond this helpful and it saved you money feel free to buy me a beer or an energy bar more likely here https www paypal me inhonorofmihail thanks.
He installed the replacement provided by bryant under warranty.
In fact a steady flow of condensate continues to drain properly out of the normal orifice and into and out of the external condensate pump.
When i was trying to disconnect the hose that comes into it the whole barb came loose.
I m not sure if i can attach it back with some glue or do i need to replace the whole condensing housing which seems to be a heavy job.
Just discovered water leaking from where the pvc condensation pipe connects to the bryant plus 90 ac gas heating unit.
Shut off the furnace a read more.
Ac was on and outside temp is in the upper 50s or low 60s.
